Hello Asia editor Johnny Au sat down with Taiwanese pop star Calvin Chen （辰亦儒）backstage at the Golden Melody Awards & Festival 2015. Calvin talks about his showcase performance, television shows his been recording in China and filming Three Peas in a Pod in Australia and more. Check out the full interview below.
Calvin Chen has been doing so much promotions lately in China, and now his back in Taiwan to perform at the Golden Melody Awards & Festival this year. Tonight Calvin was "a little bit excited, I think too excited" about performing on stage while preparing "new songs and new dance for tonight's show".
In the last few months, Calvin has been "filming some reality shows in China", one "high school reality show" about portraying "a high school student" and will be filming season two of drama titled "KO Family" in August/September which has been about 8 years since his filmed the first season of the drama and says "this drama is meaningful" to him.
Calvin not only filmed 'Three Peas in a Pod' in Melbourne but also "went all the way to Kangaroo Island" by driving there. He filmed the movie "for a month in Australia" not only in Melbourne, he and the cast drove "more than 5000 kilometres" stopping at "every different city". Calvin comments on Kangaroo Island "they have more kangaroos there than humans". The interview is available to watch above.
