錢煒安 Zen Chien

Zen Chien, also known as 錢煒安, is a prominent figure in the Taiwanese music industry, serving as a recording engineer, mixing engineer, producer, and drummer. He is the owner of 112F Recording Studio.

Chien has been the drummer for several bands, including 8mm Sky (since 2002), 絲襪小姐 (since 2009), and Doodle (since 2011).

He received his training in recording engineering in New York and worked at the renowned Eastside Sound Studio. During his time there, he participated in numerous recording sessions with artists such as Lou Reed, Laurie Anderson, John Zorn, Nilson Matta, Leela James, and Bear in Heaven.

Upon returning to Taiwan, Chien established 112F Recording Studio. His work on albums has earned numerous award nominations and wins, including Best Recording at the Chinese Music Media Awards and multiple nominations for Best Album Recording at the Golden Melody Awards.

Chien has also studied mixing engineering with Grammy-winning mixer Tom Elmhirst (known for his work with Adele, Beck, U2, among others) in New York. His mixing and recording contributions have earned over 240 award nominations and 70 awards. He has been nominated for Best Recording at the 13th Chinese Music Media Awards and Best Album Recording at the 29th Golden Melody Awards.

At 112F Recording Studio, Chien has recorded a multitude of albums across various genres, from pop music to film scores and musicals.
